Reach out in advance to book the upcoming holidays with us! We like to make sure that it is a good fit for everyone prior to accepting overnights and that requires proper time to ask questions and book a trial with us.

Dog Boarding

Boarding is at the Paw Mania Residence located in Jersey City Heights. It is a cage free in-home setting. Pups are welcome to stay for one night or for an extended period of time.

All dogs must be under 50lbs, social, potty-trained and friendly with others. All dogs over the age of 1 must be spayed/neutered.

Boarding includes direct backyard access multiple times a day for exercise, potty breaks, bird/squirrel watching and sunbathing. Our backyard is securely fenced for the safety of your pet. We provide a variety of treats, bottled water, feeding (food provided by parents) and a clean blanket/bed provided by Paw Mania. Owners do not need to send anything other than food and poo bags for the stay. If your pup prefers sleeping in a crate, one can be provided pending availability.

Report Cards:

A report card is sent via the Pet Pocketbook app once a day with a photo attached and information on how your pet is doing. The updates are received via the Pet Pocketbook app and via email notification. You can also see live updates via our Instagram story.

In emergency situations, a parent is contacted immediately via phone.

  • How Far in Advance Should I Book?: It is important to reach out in advance to ensure availability. We DO NOT accept last minute bookings for dog boarding as we require a trial night first.

    Trial Night:

    All new clients are subject to a trial night. The trial night is paid for by the dog owner and ensures that both parties are a great fit for one another. It allows Paw Mania to evaluate your dog's temperament and comfortability with other dogs . It allows owners to experience the service they would experience on a longer stay such as nightly updates and communication. Both parties can then make a decision to proceed after the trial.

    +$25 (4 hours past the original drop off time)

    +$45 (8 hours past the original drop off time)

    +Holidays: $15 per Holiday Observed

  • We do not accept dogs that are not friendly with other dogs/people/children.

    Accessibility:

    All dogs over 25 lb must be able to walk upstairs/downstairs on their own. This may not be ideal for senior pets or those with mobility issues.

    Collars/Harness & Tags:

    All dogs must have a secure collar with identification tags.

    Vaccinations:

    All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations such as Rabies, DPP (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza) and Bordetella (proof required). We can dispense medication as needed however, pets cannot board if actively sick/coughing/experiencing diarrhea.
